The Role
* Accountable and reports to the Executive Director of Nursing & Services, Home & Community, and operates under broad direction.
* Operates autonomously and exercises considerable initiative and professional judgment across the spectrum of responsibilities, as well as to judge when to seek advice or direction.
* Expected to maintain currency of knowledge in the area of responsibility to enable the identification and realisation of objectives in line with the Department of Health Strategic priorities.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic policy direction based on high level political, organisational and social awareness, utilising high level strategic, conceptual, analytical and creative skills.
* Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate complex and sensitive issues effectively.
* Proven leadership qualities including demonstrated high levels of adaptability and flexibility.

Details of appointment
* Permanent, full time, day worker working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible (hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant).
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary
$177,412 per annum.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement.

Requirements
* Essential: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Desirable: Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
* Desirable: Current Drivers Licence.
