The Role
We are seeking a motivated HSEQ Administrator (15-month contract for maternity leave cover) for an immediate start at our Bunbury Office. The role reports directly to the Commercial and HSEQ Managers, you will play a key role in ensuring our team operates in a safe, compliant, and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor HSEQ compliance by conducting inspections, data entry of operational audits and reporting on key performance indicators.
* Support incident investigations, by gathering information, preparing reports, initial analysis of root cause and identification of potential actions.
* Support and facilitate injury management and return-to-work programs through liaison with injured personnel, operations department, medical / rehab /insurance providers.
* Facilitate meetings, training and events relevant to HSEQ.
* Support Drug and Alcohol testing program.
* Facilitate health monitoring.
* Support the maintenance of the HSEQMS, to meet or exceed the ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001 standards.
* Engage with the workforce, clients, suppliers and subcontractors on HSEQ matters.
* Support health, safety, environmental and quality risk management and coordinate improvement plans.
* Maintain up to date and accurate HSEQ records, registers, policies, procedures, management plans and compliance databases through efficient and effective data entry.
* Facilitate verification of employee and subcontractor qualifications.
* Support tender preparation and client compliance documentation.
* Review, update, control and distribute HSEQ records.
* Distribute HSEQ documentation updates to ensure all employees are informed and trained on relevant policy changes.
* Support the implementation of a new HSEQ software system for the company.
What You'll Bring
Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Must have minimum 2 years experience in an office environment.
* Demonstrated effective use of Microsoft office software (Microsoft word, Microsoft outlook, Microsoft excel, etc).
* Demonstrated understanding, interpretation and application of legislation, standards, codes of practice.
* Precise and accurate data entry experience.
* Demonstrated ability in coordinating multiple projects, tasks and adjusting as needed to meet objectives of the business.
* Experience in construction, traffic management or similar industry desirable
Qualifications:
* Current WA Driver's License (required - C class preferred).
* White/blue Construction induction card (required).
* BSB Cert IV in WHS (desired) or a well developed knowledge of health, safety, environment and quality system requirements.
* HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (desired – must be willing to obtain).
* BSBWHS515 - Lead initial response to and investigate WHS incidents/Lead ICAM Investigator course (desired – must be willing to obtain)
