About the Role
As an IT Network Support Engineer, you will be the go-to person for internal users requiring both network and IT systems support. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and configuring core network infrastructure including routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and enterprise firewall and also delivering Level 2 (and some Level 1) support for Windows, macOS, and mobile environments.
You'll also contribute to systems administration, user onboarding/offboarding, device management, and the continuous improvement of IT operations within a secure and modern tech environment.
Please note: this role is based near Mona Vale, so a valid driver's licence and car are required. The ideal candidate will live within 30-45 minutes of the office.
Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot and configure network devices, including routers, managed switches, VLANs, and next-gen firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco).
* Resolve issues related to TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, and SSH network protocols.
* Perform patching, upgrades, and general maintenance of network and endpoint systems.
* Provide Level 1 and 2 support for Windows environments and common applications.
* Active Directory/Group Policy support using Intune and JAMF.
* Support Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange).
* Support user onboarding and offboarding, including hardware setup and account configuration
What You'll Bring
* 3-5 years' experience in IT network support or systems engineering, preferably in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.
* Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall configuration
* Solid understanding of key network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, SSH)
* Experience with managing user and groups in EntraID/AzureAD.
* Experience with the supporting of Active Directory/Group Policy with Intune, and JAMF.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 support for Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange.
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, self-driven attitude.
