Our Role
We're currently looking for an Assistant in Nursing to join our team. This position requires the employee to undertake activities for which they have the legal authority and competence to perform (see Scope of Practice). The person performing the delegated activity is accountable for his or her own actions and to the Registered Nurse (RN). Supervision means the direction and guidance given by an RN to an Assistant in Nursing. The supervision may be direct or indirect according to the nature of the work delegated to the AIN.
Our Location
Bathurst Correctional Centre is a mixed‐security facility for male offenders located in the centre of Bathurst, 1 hour from Orange and the Blue Mountains, and 210 kilometres west of Sydney. It serves as a reception prison for western NSW. On‐site you'll find a close‐knit clinical team led by a passionate & enthusiastic Nurse Unit Manager that encourages staff development. Working within the Primary Care team, you'll enjoy training & education opportunities while working alongside Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, Population Health, and Aboriginal Chronic Care teams.
