Job Title
As a senior Health, Safety and Environment professional, you will provide expert advice, leadership, and hands-on support to drive the improvement, promotion, and education of health, safety and environment at our site.
* You will oversee project scope, cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure optimal project outcomes, while managing health, safety and environmental performance and compliance across the facility
* Lead and coach the management team to implement Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant certification
* Develop and maintain communication plans for health, safety and environmental activities, including engagement with regulatory bodies, internal stakeholders, and the local community
* Implement Group and Division health, safety and environmental strategies, management systems, and improvement plans, aligning site priorities and resources to meet organizational goals
* Manage, develop, and support health, safety and environmental advisors and personnel, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental management systems, accreditation, and legislation
* Identify, assess, and manage site-specific health, safety and environmental risks, ensuring appropriate controls are implemented and corrective actions are completed
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in production, construction, and manufacturing environments, with an understanding of emergency procedures and injury management
* Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001) and experience in hazardous facilities
* In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, OHS & Dangerous Goods legislation, and Safety Management Systems
* Extensive experience in managing people, achieving outcomes, and meeting contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence across all levels of the organization
* Valid Driver's License and eligibility for a Defence clearance
* Willingness to work on-site
