About This Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager to join our team in Western Australia.
The role involves driving the evolution of our Underground product suite, which tracks assets in real-time to enhance situational awareness for drivers and visualise mine operations for operators.
The product alerts operators to potential hazards before they become a threat using a high-precision peer-to-peer proximity detection system coupled with a communication and tracking network.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Providing technical guidance and direction to teams and team leaders.
Overseeing administrative tasks including resource allocation, goal setting, and performance management.
Identifying and addressing staff training and development needs.
Serving as the main point of contact between Engineering Management, Project Management, and Software Developers.
Managing the Software development process and responsible for the rollout of new processes and tools.
Collaborating with external stakeholders such as Product Leads, Technical Leads, and customer support.
Supporting commercial demonstrations and tenders.
Developing and supporting DevOps roadmap.
Fostering effective communication and planning between Domestic and Offshore teams.
Requirements:
A proactive approach to continuous process improvement and demonstrated ability to implement and manage solutions.
A bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, engineering, or related qualification.
Previous experience in a leadership/management role.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong collaboration skills with local and remote teams.
Able to communicate technical information effectively and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences.
