El Questro comprises three distinct accommodation offerings – the Station, the Homestead and Emma Gorge – each catering to a different style of holiday maker.

El Questro Station is the hub of the property, set on the riverbank and offering air conditioned accommodation and extensive camping options. Emma Gorge offers luxury safari-style tented cabins for experiencing the wonders of the outback in comfort. For premium travellers, the El Questro Homestead is private and exclusive, hosting 18 guests at a time in luxury accommodation atop Chamberlain Gorge and River.

El Questro prides itself on high-end experiential tourism and guests can explore the vast property by guided 4WD tour, heli tour, river cruises and much more. Working collaboratively with the traditional custodians of this historic area is a highly important element of El Questro’s operations as we strive to deliver authentic and culturally enriching experiences.

With extensive F&B; operations, El Questro offers diverse dining options in each of their accommodation hubs. The restaurants and bar serve modern Australian fare with an emphasis on local and seasonal produce, and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

About The Role

As our recent HR Advisor, you’ll be the friendly face and organised mind behind all things people‑related at our site. No two days are the same, you might be coordinating the arrival of new team members in the morning and organising a wellbeing event or solving a recruitment puzzle in the afternoon. If variety gives you energy, you’re going to fit right in!

You’ll work closely with our wonderful General Manager, Operations Leaders and the Support Office P&C; Team. You will help build a workplace that’s supportive, engaged, and full of opportunity.

What You’ll Get Up To

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Lead end-to-end recruitment from ads to offer letters
- Keep our talent pipeline flowing and flourishing
- Coordinate arrivals, inductions, onboarding files and checklists
- Make sure new team members feel excited, supported, and welcomed

HR Coordination & Admin

- Maintain accurate employee records using Livehire, IntelliHR & TANDA
- Help manage contracts, updates, manning guides and compliance
- Assist with probation reviews and Learning & Development tracking
- Support the GM with weekly HR reports and general admin

Employee Experience & Engagement

- Be the go‑to support for managers on people processes (with full P&C; backup!)
- Foster positive relationships across the site
- Run our quarterly engagement pulse survey
- Assist with ER administration—not leading investigations, but helping keep everything on track
- Organise wellbeing programmes, social events and even monthly room inspections
- Coordinate offboarding and exit interviews

- Bring energy and creativity to our event and social calendar
- Represent our commitment to Discovery Parks’ values and code of conduct every day
- A little ad‑hoc magic here and there—because great HR is never one‑size‑fits‑all!

What You Bring

- Minimum 2 years in a similar HR or people‑focused role
- A passion for customer service and creating an awesome workplace experience
- Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills
- Confidence juggling priorities without dropping the ball
- Intermediate MS Office skills
