About The Role
With the expansion to our production crews, Thiess is seeking a Mining Superintendent for a permanent employment opportunity at our Mount Pleasant Operation site in a 5/2 roster.
* Drive a strong safety culture
* Lead and develop a strong production team
* Work with the project leadership group to ensure production targets are met
* Drive accountability across the production team
* Mentor and coach supervisors/OCEs
* Strive for continuous improvement
* Monitor labour numbers to ensure effective manning and cost effectiveness in production
About You
* Working knowledge of NSW Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Act 2013 and Regulation 2014
* Knowledge of WHS act & regs
* NSW OCE essential
* Mining Engineering Managers Practising Certificate – Highly desirable or working towards gaining the certification
* Experience and expertise in managing large contract mining teams
* Enjoys the challenge of production KPI’s and striving to achieve the industry benchmark
* Works best in a team‑based performance philosophy
