Product Development Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of materials testing by driving the design, development, and validation of innovative electromechanical products.
Job Responsibilities:
* Designing complex parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar)
* Building and testing prototypes with a focus on manufacturability, safety, and repairability
* Creating and maintaining technical documentation (CAD files, BOMs, wiring diagrams, manuals)
* Identifying suppliers and cost-effective production routes
* Developing test plans, QA/QC procedures, and safety validation protocols
* Leading FMEA and risk analysis activities to improve product reliability
* Supporting product development projects to meet time, cost, and quality goals
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
* Hands-on experience designing and manufacturing electromechanical devices
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
* A practical, flexible, and self-motivated approach comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
* Knowledge of FMEA and technical risk management
* Familiarity with product safety testing and QA standards
* Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing partners
