What’s the role?
The Clinical Lead at MMC provides senior clinical leadership and high-quality general practice care within a rural and remote primary healthcare environment. The role combines comprehensive clinical practice with mentorship, governance support, workforce development, and strategic clinical input to support safe, sustainable, and patient-centred healthcare delivery across the practice.
Working closely with the Senior Company Consultant, Practice Manager, General Practitioners, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and external stakeholders, the Clinical Lead supports accreditation activities, quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance processes, and the ongoing development of contemporary models of care aligned with rural and remote healthcare principles.
What do you need to apply?
* Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM and current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
* Demonstrated experience in general practice, rural healthcare, or remote healthcare settings
* Strong clinical skills across preventative health, chronic disease management, acute care, and continuity of care
* Ability to provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and professional support within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills with a commitment to culturally safe, patient-centred care
* Experience supporting clinical governance, accreditation activities, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
* Competency in safe prescribing practices, clinical documentation, and use of general practice clinical software systems
* Commitment to evidence-based practice, workforce development, and continuous professional improvement.
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer support and financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
