Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical response and advanced life support to clients across regional Queensland and South Australia.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work independently in a remote field environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-hospital emergency response and Advanced Life Support when required.
* Primary and emergency care: Assess, diagnose, and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies (e.g., crush injuries, dehydration, cardiac events).
* Medication management: Prescribe and administer medications within NP scope and state-based authorisations.
* Health surveillance: Conduct pre-employment and periodic medicals, drug and alcohol testing, immunisations, and fitness-for-work assessments.
* Infection control and health promotion: Implement site health programs, outbreak prevention and control measures.
* Regulatory compliance: Maintain clinical documentation, adhere to state health legislation, Mining Safety Acts, and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) requirements.
* Administer and interpret medical questionnaires to support fitness-for-work assessments.
* Support initial response planning and contribute to survey logistics.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation using systems such as Cority.
* Prepare, check and maintain medical equipment, consumable and medications.
* Operate and maintain ambulance and site equipment as per site rules and regulations.
* Deliver in-scope accredited training as per site scope of works.
* Actively participate in on-site scenario training and toolbox education sessions.
* Site-specific reporting as directed by client.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Qualification as a Nurse Practitioner as per Australian Legislative requirements and registered as a qualified practitioner by the AHPRA with no conditions, undertakings or reprimands.
