About the Role
In this role, you will work as a part of a multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting supporting the diverse mental health needs of military members. Referrals will come from various sources; the member, medical team and Command, offering diversity in presentations and support requests.
The support you will offer begins with initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need. There is scope for the use of psychometrics and engagement in treatment that capitalises on your skills, interests and scope of practice. You will have autonomy to manage your caseload including oversight and case management of externally referred cases and the provision of internal treatment to Defence members.
Additionally, your management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning is supported within a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain accurate records of patient information and communicate effectively with patients, family members and other healthcare professionals.
* Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, taking into account relevant clinical guidelines and professional standards.
* Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding mental health issues and available treatments.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and protocols related to mental health services within Serco's Health Services division.
