The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) helps the government achieve its strategic objectives by supporting the Premier, Deputy Premier, the Ministers for Aboriginal Affairs, Industrial Relations, as well as the Cabinet.
The FPSR group is responsible for nation leading work in the areas of cultural rights, self-determination, treaty and truth - an extensive program of priority work with First Peoples. We recognise Victoria's First Peoples as the self-determining drivers of Aboriginal affairs in Victoria. FPSR is looking for a proven executive, a passionate leader committed to progressing the Victorian Government's nation leading work with First Peoples through their strategic leadership and high-quality public administration.
As the Director of the Office of the Deputy Secretary you will perform a pivotal role in providing high-quality strategic advice and support to the Deputy Secretary, First Peoples - State Relations. You will also be responsible for collaborating across the Group on deliverables and supporting the effective and efficient operations of the Group.

This executive position will require a highly strategic and innovative leader, driven by high quality delivery and experienced in championing continuous improvement.

Please note that a tertiary qualification in law, public policy or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience is highly desirable for this role.
