Job Overview
Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This role is based at the Rockhampton Town Centre.
Reporting
The Cleaner will report directly to the Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine cleaning of facilities, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas.
* Clean and sanitise high‐touch areas and replenish supplies as needed.
* Empty bins and dispose of waste in line with safety guidelines.
* Operate cleaning equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.
* Follow health and safety procedures while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining a professional approach.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in cleaning roles across commercial, residential, or similar environments.
* Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Knowledge of the safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
* Understanding of workplace health and safety and basic sanitation practices.
* Good time‐management skills and ability to work independently.
* Ability to follow procedures, communicate effectively, and report issues as required.
* Must have a Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one.
* Prepared to undertake necessary pre‐employment checks including a National Police Check and medical assessment.
* Possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high‐quality outcomes for clients.
