Key Purpose of the Role
The Data Analyst will provide analytical support for the development of the full business case for the Data Governance, Risk & Platform Security Program. This role focuses on data profiling, quality assessment, and metrics development to inform strategic investment decisions. The analyst will help quantify benefits, validate assumptions, and ensure data-driven insights underpin the business case.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis to support business case assumptions and benefit modelling.
- Profile and assess data sources for quality, completeness, and sensitivity.
- Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to monitor data governance maturity and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with data stewards, engineers, and stakeholders to validate data lineage and metadata.
- Support scenario modelling and impact analysis to evaluate potential outcomes.
- Document analytical findings and contribute to business case deliverables.
- Work with cloud-based platforms such as Databricks and Amazon Redshift to access, transform, and analyse large datasets.
- Utilize APIs to extract and integrate data from various systems and sources.
Capabilities, Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or related roles.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Hands‑on experience Databricks, Amazon Redshift, and working with RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in cross‑functional teams and agile environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex insights clearly and effectively.
