Responsibilities
* Design, manufacture and repair a range of dental prosthetics including crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays and onlays.
* Work with materials such as zirconia, lithium disilicate (Emax) and hybrid composites.
* Operate CAD/CAM systems to design and manufacture dental restorations, assessing outputs from milling machines and ensuring accuracy and quality.
* Prepare and process dental impressions, pour models and create study casts to support prosthetic planning.
* Modify, adjust and repair dental prostheses to ensure optimal fit, function and aesthetics prior to final placement.
* Finish restorations through polishing, staining, glazing and other techniques to ensure fit and aesthetics.
* Determine tooth shades and aesthetic requirements and liaise with external labs for fabrication of specialised abutments and implant‐supported prostheses.
* Take intra‐ and extra‐oral patient photos for AI‐based smile simulations using digital technologies.
* Set up intra‐oral and extra‐oral radiographs and CT scans, ensuring accurate imaging and adherence to safety protocols.
* Assess appliances/restorations once they come out of CAD/CAM mill and furnace.
* Ensure all work meets quality assurance standards, manufacturer specifications and clinical requirements.
* Maintain high standards of infection control to comply with work health and safety regulations.
* Manage patient clinical records and update treatment information as needed.
* Assist in practice management and inventory of dental materials and equipment supplies to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification such as a Diploma of Dental Technology or higher (or an agreed equivalent).
* Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) of work experience as a Dental Technician in a laboratory or clinic environment.
* Demonstrated experience fabricating dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, dentures and orthodontic appliances.
* Strong knowledge of dental materials including zirconia, Emax and composite restorations.
* Knowledge of digital dental workflows, including CAD/CAM systems and 3D printing technology.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and high‐quality dental restorations and appliances, with a focus on aesthetics.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with dentists and clinical staff.
* Understanding of infection control, WHS and laboratory safety practices.
* Unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia.
