We're excited to offer a full-time opportunity for a motivated and proactive People & Development Business Partner to join our dynamic People & Workforce team.
About the Role
As a People & Development Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting leaders and staff across Greater Shepparton City Council. You will:
* Provide high-quality generalist HR advice and contemporary people solutions
* Partner with managers to build capability and enhance operational performance
* Support employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, and change processes
* Contribute to strategic workforce planning and people-focused projects
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives across HR systems, processes, and service delivery
* Deliver meaningful employee experiences, from recruitment and onboarding through to development and engagement initiatives

What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualified in Human Resources or a related discipline
* Experienced in generalist HR, including employee and industrial relations
* A confident communicator and trusted advisor at all levels
* Skilled in interpreting awards, legislation, and HR frameworks
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities
Note: This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period. During the qualifying period employees will be provided with appropriate on-going induction, support, assistance, resources and training to enable them to meet the required performance standards for the position.
