Customer Relations Consultant (6-month contract) page is loaded## Customer Relations Consultant (6-month contract)locations: Brisbane Office - Newstead Village: Melbourne Office - Elizabeth Sttime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR101369**About the role**The **Customer Relations Consultant – EDR** plays a key role in managing escalated customer complaints received through AFCA and other external dispute resolution bodies, leading thorough investigations, preparing clear and compliant written responses, and negotiating fair outcomes that meet regulatory requirements. In this role, you'll handle complex cases end‐to‐end, attend conciliation conferences, collaborate with Legal and internal experts to ensure decisions are accurate and well‐informed, and communicate confidently with customers to guide them through the resolution process. You'll also identify trends, root causes, and systemic issues to support continuous improvement and help strengthen BOQ Group's approach to customer fairness and complaint management.**About you**You bring extensive knowledge of the banking industry, including key regulatory and compliance requirements such as RG 271 and the Privacy Act, along with deep experience managing both IDR and EDR complaints through AFCA and other Ombudsman schemes. You're confident navigating the full AFCA process end‐to‐end, using your strong negotiation and influencing skills to achieve fair outcomes, including financial settlements and agreed resolutions. You can interpret legislation, regulation and product terms with ease, applying them practically to complex customer matters. Your ability to identify trends, root causes and improvement opportunities allows you to influence meaningful change, while your highly developed written and verbal communication skills ensure clarity and confidence in every interaction. You're organised, analytical and skilled at managing competing priorities, with strong critical‐thinking capability and the ability to draw insights from data.
