The role of Cyber Security Assurance Specialist is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team focused on safeguarding critical information systems and digital assets.
We are seeking passionate and skilled Cyber Security professionals across CyberSecurity Assurance who can work full time hours in Canberra.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the compliance and technical security posture of classified IT systems/networks.
2. Support the establishment and sustainment of IT system security authorisation.
3. Maintain system security documentation, operating procedures, and registers.
4. Manage security vulnerability assessment and risk management.
5. Oversee system security monitoring, auditing, and incident reporting/investigation.
6. Provide specialist advice on cyber security and security accreditation.
Act as Deputy Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) as delegated.
What You'll Bring
* Be an Australian Citizen with an active PV Defence Security Clearance.
* Possess 6+ years of relevant technical experience in system administration and cyber security.
* Have sound knowledge of IT system accreditation processes & frameworks, including the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF), Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), and NIST-aligned Cybersecurity frameworks.
* Experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response Planning and Risk Management.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant industry certifications.
