Opportunity
As Manager of the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing (PRIS) team you will lead the team across compliance activities for the business. Your role includes undertaking assurance activities to identify and prevent any potential risk of data breach, recommending policy and procedural changes to ensure ongoing compliance with the PRIS Act 2024, and leading a cultural shift to embed stronger privacy practices into day‐to‐day processes.
You will also lead the team responsible for maintaining compliance across Information Classification, establishing an Information Asset Register as a single source of truth for all Communities Information Assets, and ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act 1988.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the implementation and ongoing management of the PRIS Operating Model, embedding privacy and responsible information sharing principles across Communities.
* Identifying, developing and implementing business improvement activities identified through compliance assessment, data matching and analysis.
* Maintaining effective leadership of staff and building a culture of collaboration, customer service and performance.
* Preparing and presenting performance metrics including compliance KPIs and dashboards for internal and external reporting mechanisms.
* Ensuring statutory notifications to the Information Commissioner and State Chief Data Officer are completed within legislated timeframes.
* Representing the Division on internal and external committees and working parties and representing the Department at various agency, community and state forums to deliver organisational and divisional outcomes.
Position Details
Permanent or Fixed‐Term: Fixed term available for immediate filling for a period of 18 months with the possibility of permanency and/or extension.
Location: Fremantle, WA.
