**The Team**
The Customer Value Team is made up of smart people with smart ideas, delivering the best pricing and promotion plan across BIG W. We're a team that is curious, resourceful and willing to experiment with everything that we do.
We partner across the ecosystem to analyse customer & market insights to come up with the best pricing and promotion practices to enhance our customer shopping experiences.
**The Role**
Some other responsibilities would include:
- Develop influencing & leadership skills to build trusted business partner relationships within the BIG W business, building key relationships with commercial teams
- Manage delivery of Price Competitiveness, Outlier processes and Smart Pricing opportunities outside of range review timelines
- Responsible for the reporting into BIG W Price competitiveness vs key competitors : maintain integrity of the pricing database
- Support enhancement of data insights that will help the business make informed pricing & promotional decisions in line with customer's needs (KVI Models, Elasticity Models)
- Derive key insights and form appropriate pricing actions from the price reporting and work closely with the Pricing team members to action these insights
- Run appropriate deep-dive data analysis to support Pricing decisions as required
- Identifying actions to drive price perception improvements across each Customer Universe including but not limited to; identifying new Image Line opportunities and the identification & communication of value to customers
- Support cost price analysis & mitigation including insights into commodities & recommendations
**About You**
To be a successful you will come from a commercial and consultancy background either in retail or FMCG environments.
In addition to this, you will have:
- Exceptional data mining abilities, with advance competency in the use of SQL, MS Excel, VBA and GCP
- Advanced Tableau user skills
- Background in BI preferred
- 3-5 years experience in a Commercial Analyst role
- High commercial & financial acumen
- Strong analytical skills & ability to extract insights from complex data sets
