You'll work within Council's robust Project Management Framework to deliver on-time, on-budget and high-quality outcomes, while engaging with a broad range of stakeholders.You will be a strategic thinker and technical expert, capable of providing high-level engineering and commercial advice.
Your leadership will shape the successful delivery of our capital programs and help grow the capabilities of our talented project delivery team.Responsibilities of the RoleLead the delivery of significant water, sewerage and waste infrastructure projects aligned with Council objectives.Prepare business cases, budgets, and detailed project plans ensuring value-for-money outcomes.
Provide technical oversight, specialist advice and high-quality reports to Council and stakeholders.
Oversee project and contract management activities to ensure legislative compliance and optimal delivery.
Foster collaboration across teams and external partners, building relationships that support success.
Develop best practice work methods, promote continuous improvement, and grow team capability.About YouYou are an accomplished engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about making a tangible difference through infrastructure delivery.
You're confident leading complex projects, engaging with stakeholders, and mentoring your team to deliver exceptional results.You'll bring:A recognised Engineering Degree (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental) and RPEQ status (or the ability to obtain within 12 months).
Extensive experience in delivering major infrastructure projects, ideally in a local government or utilities environment.
A strong understanding of commercial contracts, relevant legislation, and project risk management.
