CCH is now seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Lead to guide our payroll function through an exciting period of transition and growth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll ensure payroll accuracy while influencing the future of systems, processes, and team capability.
About the role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll.
You'll lead and support a small, evolving team and play a key role in driving improvements, digital transformation, and system implementation initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both operational delivery and project environments and enjoys challenging and improving existing ways of working.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing
* Supervise, mentor, and develop a small payroll team
* Ensure compliance with complex industrial instruments and legislative requirements
* Partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver a high-quality payroll service
* Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
* Lead and contribute to payroll-related projects, including system implementation and digital transformation
* Review and challenge current practices to uplift capability and performance
About you
You're a confident payroll leader with strong technical expertise and a continuous improvement mindset.
* Proven experience in a senior payroll or payroll leadership role
* Strong knowledge of complex awards, including the Aged Care Award and SCHADS Award
* Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments with accuracy and confidence
* Experience with payroll system implementation and transformation initiatives
* Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
* A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and improve processes
* Experience within the aged care sector
* Familiarity with CIM
