About the Role
UGL is seeking an experienced Lifting & Rigging Supervisor to support a major LNG Turnaround at Wheatstone. This is a 4‐month contract on a 2:2 roster (12 hour days). Commencing June ****, you will be responsible for providing critical support during the execution phases of a major LNG turnaround. This role is ideally suited to a supervisor with strong LNG / TAR experience, a solid understanding of Lifting & Rigging Planning and JDE (desirable), and the ability to operate independently in a fast‐paced, high‐compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead: directly manage and lead a team of scaffolders, riggers and crane operators to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration in executing project tasks.
* Safety compliance: enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation activities adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.
* Quality assurance: conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work meets project standards and specifications.
* Schedule management: develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for electrical activities, coordinating with other disciplines to optimize project timelines.
* Resource allocation: efficiently allocate resources, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements and deadlines.
* Communication: foster effective communication within the team and collaborate with other discipline supervisors and project managers to address challenges and ensure smooth project progression.
* Problem solving: proactively identify and resolve issues related to activities, providing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.
* Documentation: ensure accurate and timely documentation of rigging & lifting activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and any required project documentation.
About You
* Proven experience as a Lifting & Rigging Supervisor within LNG / Oil & Gas Turnaround environments
* Strong hands‐on experience with Planning & Execution (mandatory)
* Working knowledge of JDE and CMMS‐based job planning systems (highly desirable)
* Strong Excel capability and high computer literacy (Power BI and web‐based tools advantageous)
* Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with client representatives
* Strong commitment to safety, quality, and procedural discipline
