You will play a key role in shaping how risk is managed across one of Westpac's most significant transformation programs. Working within the Chief Transformation Office, you will lead how technology and data-related risks are identified, assessed and managed across multiple initiatives. In this role, you will partner closely with program, technology and risk teams to ensure strong governance is in place and risks are clearly understood by decision-makers.
You will bring clarity to complex delivery challenges, helping leaders make informed calls on risk, controls and outcomes. From improving how risk is reported to uplifting frameworks and controls, you will help create consistency and transparency across the program.
You will also play a key part in driving continuous improvement and strengthening how the organisation approaches risk in change. This is a permanent role based in Sydney with flexible working options.
What do I need?
You will bring practical experience in managing risk within complex environments, with the ability to influence and communicate clearly.
* Proven experience managing risk in change (RIC) across technology or data transformation programs within financial services (essential)
* Strong understanding of governance, controls and risk frameworks
* Ability to translate complex risk issues into clear, actionable insights
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across business and technology teams
* Analytical mindset with the ability to improve processes and frameworks
