About the Role
You will support aged care facilities in delivering high-quality food services to residents, working across a range of sites in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Hand / Food Service Assistant:
* Set up and deliver meal and beverage trolleys
* Prepare and plate meals, including texture-modified meals (IDDSI)
* Prepare sandwiches, salads, and light snacks
* Maintain food safety records and temperature checks
* Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
* Follow infection control and food safety procedures
Cook / Chef:
* Prepare and cook meals in line with planned menus
* Work with dietary requirements, including texture-modified diets (IDDSI)
* Ensure meals are presented to a high standard
* Maintain food safety documentation and temperature controls
* Support kitchen operations, stock control, and ordering
* Maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required for Cook/Chef roles)
* Strong communication skills and reliability
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge and experience with modified diets (IDDSI)
Mandatory Requirements
* Full National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months - must state "Aged Care/Healthcare" purpose)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
* NSW Working with Children Check (not required but highly desired)
* 3x Covid Vaccinations
* 2026 Flu Vaccination
* Availability for flexible shifts across 7 days
