About the role
We are seeking passionate and skilled Chefs and Apprentices to join our vibrant team at Townsville RSL in beautiful Townsville, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our patrons, while also supporting the development of our apprentices. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and contribute to the success of our esteemed establishment.
What you\'ll be doing
* Prepare and cook a variety of meals from our diverse menu, ensuring consistent high quality and presentation
* Mentor and train apprentice chefs, passing on your knowledge and skills to support their development
* Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
* Assist with menu planning and recipe development to continuously improve our offerings
* Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
* Collaborate with the wider team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers
What we\'re looking for
* Formal culinary qualification or equivalent experience as a chef
* Demonstrated experience working in a busy kitchen environment, ideally within the hospitality industry
* Strong food preparation and cooking skills, with a keen eye for detail and presentation
* Ability to work effectively in a team, with excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals and continuously improving your craft
* Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain
