As part of the Freightways Group, one of Australasia's leading logistics and information management companies, Shred-X is a national leader in secure document destruction, product disposal, and recycling services. We're seeking a motivated team member who thrives on independence, takes pride in their work, and plays a key role in delivering top-tier customer service.
What You'll Do
* Drive a company-branded MR or HR truck to deliver and collect secure destruction bins and materials.
* Service a diverse client base across various industries, including handling e-waste, archive boxes, textiles, and pallets.
* Safely manage bins weighing up to 100kg – an ideal role for someone who enjoys physical work.
* Use a PDA device to accurately record collections and service tasks.
* Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness.
* You'll need to apply for access passes with government and high-security clients, which may require sharing personal information.
* Represent Shred-X professionally on-site, ensuring top-tier customer interaction.
* Follow all company policies, WHS standards, chain of responsibility, and client-specific procedures.
What You Bring
* A valid Medium Rigid (MR) truck license with a clean driving history.
* Previous experience in a physical driving role (e.g. freight or removalist-style work).
* Safe manual handling skills and physical fitness.
* Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
* Comfortable with using handheld devices (PDA or similar tech).
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
