With oversight of service delivery in a defined geographic area, you will drive operational performance and ensure the effective delivery of multiple contracts across more than ten services and three locations.

This is an on-site position based at Chigwell House. As a values-driven and innovative leader, you will be responsible for strategic planning, compliance, workforce development, and stakeholder engagement. Your ability to lead through change, manage complex operations, and nurture a high-performing culture will be essential to delivering quality outcomes and advancing Mission Australia's objectives. You will represent the organisation at the local and state level, building strong partnerships with government, funders, and community stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the performance of operations and contract delivery across multiple services in the defined geography, managing up to 4 direct reports and a team of up to 50 staff.
- Provide operational and strategic direction for service contracts, ensuring they are delivered within funding guidelines and meet compliance and quality standards.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Service Delivery Support Teams) to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement across all services.
- Oversee the development, preparation, and monitoring of operational budgets, reporting on service performance and addressing underperformance.
- Support the Regional Leader and State Director in contract negotiations and provide strategic insights regarding workforce capacity and service delivery capabilities.
- Drive workforce planning, recruitment, retention, succession planning, and the professional development of frontline managers and service teams.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with local/state government, funding bodies, and community organisations to build the Mission Australia presence and advocate for client needs.
- Contribute to local service strategy aligned with national direction; identify opportunities for growth and innovation across the service portfolio.
- Promote and model values-based leadership to build a culture of openness, accountability, and high performance.
- Take an active role in regional committees, sector groups, or membership bodies to represent Mission Australia and influence local service outcomes.

Provide upline on-call support and maintain visibility across all services under your leadership.

Requirements for Success
- Tertiary qualifications in Management, Community Services, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' management experience in the community services or not-for-profit sector, preferably overseeing medium-sized, geographically dispersed teams.
- Demonstrated success in leading multiple programs and contracts in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
- Proven ability to deliver business outcomes on time and within budget while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Extensive experience in people management, coaching, and developing frontline leaders through periods of change.
- Strong understanding of government contracting processes and legislative frameworks within the community sector.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and build strong collaborative relationships.
- Sound knowledge of financial and resource management processes, including the use of CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong local and state-level knowledge of social issues impacting children, young people, and families.
- Demonstrated capacity to observe, identify and act on business opportunities and service gaps.
- A proactive, action-oriented, and solution-focused leadership style with a commitment to Mission Australia's values.
- A current unrestricted driver's licence is essential.
