Job Summary
This role involves supporting the maintenance program under the supervision of a Facility Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating routine facility and equipment maintenance, as well as minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Main Responsibilities
* Escort and supervise service provider activities within the facility, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently.
* Conduct periodic challenge tests to verify that facilities and equipment respond as expected in emergency situations.
* Assist with temperature mapping activities, including sensor placement and equipment configuration.
* Support the maintenance of overall equipment efficiency within the facility.
* Respond to issues related to air and heating systems.
* Assess maintenance requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly.
* Coordinate common office and warehouse maintenance tasks, including light fixtures, doors, locks, and minor painting.
* Coordinate minor equipment and building repairs and improvements.
* Maintain accurate daily and monthly maintenance logs.
* Ensure adequate spare parts inventory and tools are available.
* Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and safety rules.
* Be available to work extended hours as needed to perform tasks that cannot be completed during regular working hours or scheduled periods.
* Participate in an on-call roster 24/7 to provide telephone support and in-person attendance for emergency responses related to temperature control of products.
* Contribute to reviewing and authoring global and local standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training documents.
* Work in various temperature-controlled environments, including but not limited to:
* +15 to +25°C
* +2 to +8°C
* -20 to -30°C
* Participate in occasional scheduled weekend tasks.
* Manage equipment inventory.
* Perform other duties for which the employee has been trained.
Requirements
* Requires some technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
* Normally requires one to two years of directly and progressively responsible experience.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
* Mandatory:
* Ability to lift loads up to 20kg independently using safe lifting methods described in manual handling training.
* Ability to read and understand English for the purpose of following and implementing instructions.
* Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
* Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
* Experience with electric installation is desirable.
