OverviewSenior Executive Assistant to support senior Managing Directors in Alvarez & Marsal's Advisory practice (Management Consulting), specifically the Private Equity team.
This role typically covers 2 'high-touch' and 1 'low-touch' MD on a 40:40:20 basis.

Our culture is guided by core values of Integrity, Quality, Objectivity, Fun, Personal Reward, and Inclusive Diversity.Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Assistant – Serve as an extension of Managing Directors by anticipating needs, managing competing priorities, and providing seamless execution support.Proactively manage complex calendars, travel, and expense management.Exercise judgment and discretion in handling sensitive communications, confidential client matters, and internal initiatives.Practice Management & Operations – Private Equity Team – Partner with Practice leaders (e.g., HR, L&D, Talent Acquisition) to support practice rhythms: business development meetings, recruitment pipeline and onboarding coordination, training calendars, and team events.Lead coordination of private equity and portfolio company client relationship management activities (e.g., maintaining priority account lists, updating client contact databases).
Support pipeline visibility and reporting by collaborating with MDs, Business Development Manager, and Finance to ensure project data is accurate and up to date in Salesforce.Manage logistics for internal and client-facing Private Equity events (roundtables, offsites, dinners), including coordinating vendors, venues, and communications.Client & Project Enablement – Provide active support to client project teams as required (e.g., managing central stakeholder correspondence, coordinating executive-level workshops).
Support development of project-specific policies and procedures (e.g., travel and expense policies for high-travel engagements).
Leadership Support & Culture – Act as a trusted cultural anchor within the team, mentoring junior EAs, and modeling A&M's values (Bold, Agile, All-In, Team-Player, Resilient).
Anticipate leadership needs during critical phases (client deadlines, travel-heavy periods, proposal submissions) and ensure priorities are balanced.Support internal communications and recognition initiatives to maintain high team morale and connectivity across the practice and broader business.What You Would BringMinimum 10 years' experience supporting senior executives, ideally within professional services (specifically consulting).
Ability to operate with high autonomy, manage ambiguity, and make sound decisions with limited guidance.Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to juggle multiple time zones, projects, and stakeholders.Strong business acumen—comfortable engaging in discussions around clients, deals, and commercial outcomes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and presentation.Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office, CRM tools (Salesforce), and virtual collaboration platforms (Teams, Zoom).
