About the Role
The Men's Health Promotion Officer will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver the Family Health and Wellbeing Framework, focusing on recognising, respecting, and privileging local cultural knowledge systems and practices. This position requires strong communication skills, creativity, and flexibility to engage with children, young people, elders, and families, promoting family health and wellbeing through culturally appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivery of the Family Health & Wellbeing Model: Contribute to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for children, families, and communities under the guidance of the Children's Ground Family Health and Wellbeing Framework.
* Program Design, Standards, and Implementation: Provide broad health promotion and support at an individual, family, and community level, delivering health promotion activities across health and learning delivery, both on Country and in community.
* Information and data systems, monitoring, and reporting: Ensure relevant user data and information is being recorded to meet the monitoring and evaluation needs of the organisation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Experience working with First Nation people and communities, with ability to work positively with people's strengths and capacities, seeking opportunities for genuine inclusion.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience working within Health Promotion or related field.
* Strong people skills – teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
* Ability to work in a flexible team environment.
