Software Development Position
You are invited to apply for a role that will involve building software that powers in-store audio hardware, APIs and connected systems. Our team is responsible for shaping customer experiences through sound.
We're looking for someone who can contribute to our high-performing engineering team, participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical vision setting. You'll work on building scalable software solutions using Golang and collaborating with other teams on monitoring and deployment.
This role would be suitable for individuals with strong knowledge of Golang and Linux fundamentals, experience with AWS and Terraform, and familiarity with observability tools. If you have experience working with hardware or IoT devices, that's also a plus.
To be successful in this position, you should be able to collaborate across time zones and work autonomously. A deep understanding of software development principles and practices is essential. We value teamwork, honesty, collaboration and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and manage Golang components for in-store devices and media players.
* Develop scalable APIs communicating with Python core services.
* Refactor and improve device reliability and rollout processes.
* Enhance CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite / GitHub Actions) and AWS infrastructure.
* Collaborate with Platform and Ops teams on monitoring and deployment.
* Participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical vision setting.
* Contribute to support, incident response, and fleet management.

Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of Golang (and/or Python) in a production environment.
* Deep understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals, and CI/CD.
* Experience with AWS (S3, ECS, Route53, Cloudfront) & Terraform.
* Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Datadog or similar).
* Ability to collaborate across time zones and work autonomously.
* Full unrestricted Australian work rights.
* Experience working with hardware, embedded systems, or IoT devices (Nice to have).
