Position
To implement and monitor engineering systems and processes through good practice to maximise the process and ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance on a 24 hour shift system. Build and maintain relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication across the site. You will be required to be totally flexible and carry out other duties identified from time to time ensuring site objectives are achieved.
Project
The East Rockingham Waste-to-Energy Project is a landmark facility in Western Australia that converts municipal and commercial waste into renewable energy. It will process up to 300,000 tonnes of waste annually, generating sustainable electricity for thousands of homes while reducing landfill.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out E&I support and execution of work under the direction of the E&I Team Leader.
* Support safe working processes and implementation of safety systems.
* Management of contractors and control of their work areas.
* Utilise best practices in your field of influence to ensure compliance with E&I standards.
* Carry out asset management and maintenance activities to completion within the required agreed timeframes.
* Work with other engineers and technicians to develop strategic plans for facility availability and implement strategies as required.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Apprenticeship or equivalent in Engineering, Mining, Heavy Industry or equivalent.
* Previous experience within the renewable energy or waste management sectors.
* 5+ years of industrial experience.
* 3+ years of supervisory experience.
* Working knowledge of MS Excel.
