Location: Welshpool, Casuarina Prison and Bunbury Regional Prison

Relocation supports available to Interstate and New Zealand applicants for permanent appointments

This recruitment pool will run for a period of 6 months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities.

About the role

The Occupational Therapists work as part of the Justice Health and Wellbeing Services (JHWS) multidisciplinary team and deliver occupational therapy assessments, intervention, and care planning to people incarcerated in Western Australian prisons. JHWS multidisciplinary teams are made up of nurses, consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, aboriginal mental health workers and prison support officers.

Current vacancies exist in Bunbury and Welshpool with additional vacancies expected to arise in Canning Vale.

Eligibility

Qualifications – Successful applicants must have:

* A tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) and eligible for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) and
* Current registration by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Permanent positions - To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the Western Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
