Role Overview
A School Administration Officer is responsible to the Principal for assisting in a range of school, classroom and office activities such as record keeping, bookkeeping, other clerical duties, reception, operating and maintaining classroom and office equipment, purchasing, and preparing and maintaining stock and learning/resource materials.
Leumeah Public School is opening a new public preschool as part of the NSW Government's commitment to deliver 100 new public preschools by 2027.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
* Assist with school, classroom and office activities including record keeping, bookkeeping, and clerical tasks
* Reception duties and support for classroom/office equipment operation and maintenance
* Purchasing and preparing stock and learning/resource materials
Qualifications & Requirements
* Demonstrated suitability and ongoing compliance with the Children (Education and Care Services) National Law (NSW), Education and Care Services National Regulations (NSW), and NSW Department of Education policies and practices for public preschools.
* Commitment to child safe practices and requirements.
* Ability to work with teachers and children.
* Ability to perform tasks in office procedures; accounting procedures; word processing; operation of computers or classroom/office equipment; library procedures; hospitality and/or design and technology; science.
* Commitment to protecting and promoting the safety, wellbeing and rights of all children.
* Commencement date: Monday 20 July 2026 (Term 3 2026, Day 1).
