Overview
General Practitioner – ADF Health Services at Serco, Richmond North, New South Wales, Australia. As a civilian GP working with the Australian Defence Force, you will provide essential medical care to ADF members on RAAF Base Richmond.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence policies.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to maintain the health and wellbeing of Defence personnel.
* Assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and support health through pre‑ and post‑deployment care.
* Provide medical technical advice to Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer, Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager and unit Commanders.
* Support the team of Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues.
* Deliver services in either an outpatient setting or inpatient ward.
Required Qualifications
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.
* Minimum of 2 years full‑time postgraduate GP experience within the last 5 years (or part‑time equivalent).
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities per AHPRA requirements.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Additional Requirements
* Australian citizenship to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
* Defence personnel may be deployed; role continues on‑base support.
