Role Overview
This role plays a key part in shaping major state‐led infrastructure projects by acting as the technical bridge between State Government authorities and Council. You'll provide expert civil engineering advice, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and ensure projects deliver strong outcomes for the Hobsons Bay community while protecting Council assets and interests.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert technical advice on major State Government infrastructure projects.
* Act as the key interface between Council, State authorities and project partners.
* Review designs, traffic management plans and construction impacts on Council assets.
* Prepare high‐quality reports and briefings for Council, ELT and meetings.
* Support construction, reinstatement and project completion activities on site.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or similar).
* Chartered or Registered Professional Engineer status (mandatory).
* Strong experience in large‐scale civil or transport infrastructure projects.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
* Sound knowledge of civil design standards, project management and OHS requirements.
