We are seeking a qualified Therapy Assistants to join the teamat Bethanie Beachside Aged Care Home in Yanchep on a casual basisto provide coverage for leave and other absences. BethanieBeachside is one of our larger sites with 160 beds and residentshave the choice of single or double rooms. We offer a range ofamenities, from secure dementia care through to on site cafeservices and a busy social calendar. The successful applicant would be available to work across thefollowing shifts as required: 9am - 4pm 10am - 6pm 11.30am - 6pm We are looking for someone with a passion for working withpeople of all abilities and backgrounds. Our Therapy Assistantshave an enthusiastic and creative approach to their work and areable to support our residents' strengths and interests. An important component of this role is the ability to workautonomously and facilitate individual and group therapy sessionsindependently. You will be able to work under the guidance of aPhysiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, while also beingconfident in using your initiative and creative thinking to ensuresessions run smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Implement therapy and lifestyle programs for groups and individual residents Adapt activities to resident's level of function under the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist Address physical and psychological needs and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents Maintain accurate documentation, both paper and computer based Requirements: Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role, ideally in an aged care or other health care environment Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) Experience working with residents with dementia would be an advantage Ability to communicate clearly in both a verbal and written capacity with care recipients, families and team members Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually Willingness to uphold the vision, mission and values of The Bethanie Group A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one Working with Bethanie At Bethanie we are committed to being an employer of choice bycreating a supportive and compassionate environment for our people,customers and residents.
