- Salary Clerk Grade 3/4 from $84,659 to $92,701 base + superannuation
About the role
This role provides information and customer service to clients and stakeholders of the NSW government schools International Students Program and supports the Admissions team.
- Answer phone and email enquiries from overseas agents, parents and students
- Assess applications and supporting documents from overseas students
- Liaise with schools and external stakeholders to arrange placement in schools and homestay families
- Make assessments and decisions on individual cases based on departmental policies and federal and state government legislation related to International students.

About you
- Fluency in at least one Asian language is desired
- Experience in customer service roles dealing with a non-English speaking overseas customers
- Experience in International Education will be highly regarded
- Willingness to seek guidance and direction from experienced staff
- Be proactive and self motivated
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
