VLI Conveyors is seeking a proactive Internal Salesperson to join our high-performing team in Welshpool. At VLI Conveyors, we support some of Australia's largest mining and industrial operations with conveyor components, bulk materials handling solutions, and engineered products. We're looking for a proactive Internal Salesperson who thrives on problem-solving, fast-paced customer interaction, and turning technical enquiries into winning commercial solutions. You'll work closely with external sales, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to deliver accurate quotes, smart solutions, and exceptional customer service. If you enjoy variety, technical detail, and being a key driver of revenue (not just processing paperwork), this role is for you.
What You'll Be Doing
* Responding to inbound sales enquiries from mining and industrial customers
* Preparing accurate, competitive quotations and pricing for conveyor and bulk materials handling products
* Interpreting customer needs and providing technical product solutions and recommendations
* Working with engineering and operations to ensure solutions are practical, cost-effective, and deliverable
* Supporting external Business Development Managers with follow-ups, pipeline management, and opportunity tracking
* Processing customer orders with a focus on accuracy, margin protection, and on-time delivery
* Coordinating across procurement, production, and dispatch to ensure smooth order fulfilment
* Managing CRM/ERP systems (SAP experience highly regarded)
* Assisting with tenders, project submissions, and commercial documentation
* Delivering responsive, high-quality service to key accounts and repeat customers
About You
You're commercially minded, technically curious, and confident working in a fast-moving environment.
You will bring:
* Experience in internal sales or technical sales support role
* Exposure to mining, conveyors, engineering, or mechanical products (strong advantage)
* Ability to interpret technical information, drawings, or specifications
* Confidence working with pricing, margins, quoting, and commercial decisions
* Experience with SAP, CRM, or ERP systems (preferred)
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly
* Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities
* A proactive mindset with a focus on results, accuracy, and customer outcomes
