A rare opportunity has become available for a Fixed Plant Fitter. The role reports to the Project Crew Leading Hand.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance of surface and underground mine infrastructure is crucial in this role. Essential tasks include servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment such as ventilation systems, compressors, and de-watering pipes and pumps. Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to fabricate, construct, and repair equipment as needed, and working autonomously are required skills.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification background (Fitter & Turner, Boilermaker, Carpenter) with excellent communication skills, ability to work shift work, and demonstrated ability to work constructively as a team member. Previous experience in parts ordering using an ERP system and working well under pressure or in stressful situations is also desirable.
