About the role
This position provides an exciting opportunity for Aboriginal Health Clinicians interested in working in a community mental health team, particularly with young people and their families. The Bathurst Child, Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team includes clinicians from nursing, social work, psychology, and psychiatry backgrounds, with support from dietetics and other allied health disciplines. The team works collaboratively to maintain a supportive workplace culture and delivers high-level clinical care.
Responsibilities
* Participate in daily morning meetings to review new referrals and plan the day's caseload.
* Conduct mental health assessments for young people and their families.
* Provide therapy and develop care plans to improve mental wellbeing.
* Collaborate closely with the team leader, clinical leader, wider team, Aboriginal MHDA Workforce, clinical supervisor, and professional mentor.
* Engage in clinical and operational orientation and develop an individualized professional development pathway.
