The Opportunity
Are you an experienced heavy Diesel Mechanic and want to gain experience within the waste industry, come join our supportive and friendly teams based in Emerald.
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic you will be responsible for servicing and maintenance within Veolia's workshop and onsite repairs maintaining commercial waste vehicles, plant and equipment. Attending breakdowns whilst on roster.
Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm, week day overtime as required.

What you'll be responsible for
To service maintain and repair plant, equipment and fleet vehicles in a timely manner
Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor/Leading Hand in an efficient and timely manner
Complete work orders, purchase orders and part requisitions daily and in full
Record, monitor stock and part levels and advise any discrepancies
What you'll need to be successful
MUST have on highway truck repair experience with VOLVO and ISUZU
Australian recognised Diesel / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic's trade certificate
Proven mechanical knowledge / experience within the automotive repair industry
Forklift ticket ticket is desirable
HR licence, or ability to obtain
