**About the Role**

- Reporting to the Project Manager
**Your key responsibilities in this role include**:
- Drive process improvement initiatives enhancing HSE performance
- Manage and/or facilitate the investigation process of serious incidents, developing strategies to effectively resolve workplace hazards, and implementing measures to proactively reduce injuries through the HSE team
- Manage and drive effective incident investigation process
- Oversee project corrective action requirements associated with internal and external audits, incidents, inspections and other proactive or reactive processes
- Manage the effective communication, implementation and operation of new or updated systems, policies, standard, procedures, etc. at domestic projects; and
- Ensure site specific procedures are appropriate and do not introduce unplanned risks and ensure RUC document control and document management requirements are met for all site-specific procedures or other HSE related documentation.
- 5+ years HSE management experience in the resource sector (Underground Mining / Shaftsinking highly desirable);
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS (e.g. Diploma of Work Health and Safety or equivalent);
- ICAM Lead Auditor training;
- Strong knowledge of health and safety standards, legislation and risk management principles;
- Strong interpersonal skills; and
- Ability to build rapport with both corporate and site personnel.
