Overview
This is a 6 month fixed term, part‐time (0.92 FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026, with possible extension (6 months) and/or permanency.

Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in delivering planned education programs, including managing small groups of students under the direction of a teacher to help develop young minds and support the general health and wellbeing of students.
You will also prepare and maintain the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources for classes, displays and demonstrations, and assist the teacher in cleaning and safely storing items after classes and activities.
The successful applicant should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and possess good written and oral communication skills to implement individual or group‐based programs.
Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have experience in education or relevant teaching support.
Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
