Supervisor Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) Shutdowns
An exciting leadership opportunity in the operations team at Tom Price. This permanent role offers a competitive salary, annual bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. You'll lead, mentor, coach, and develop the shutdown maintenance team while ensuring safe execution of shutdown activities at site level.
Key Responsibilities
* Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures.
* Serve as Statutory Supervisor under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 with functions as per Schedule 26.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilizing Rio Tinto best practices.
* Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties.
* Organise and manage preparation and execution of HME shutdown work in compliance with the RT Shutdown Procedure.
* Provide input into shutdown schedule, scope, and budget, including risks, site layout plan and shutdown management plan.
* Conduct statutory workplace inspections.
* Manage HSE, shift handovers, schedule, scope changes, critical issues and contingencies.
What You'll Bring
* Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members.
* In‑depth knowledge of large‑scale earthmoving equipment maintenance.
* Contractor management experience.
* Computer literacy – Outlook, Excel, Word and SAP maintenance system.
* Understanding of the shutdown management process and principles.
* Experience working with Komatsu, Hitachi and Caterpillar equipment.
* Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor (or working toward it).
* Hold a current "C Class" WA manual driver's licence.

Where You'll Be Working
The Pilbara region of Western Australia. Rio Tinto owns an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets with 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700 km rail network, and related infrastructure. The role is a fly‑in/fly‑out position on an 8‑days‑on, 6‑days‑off roster (7 nights on, 7 nights off).
