Murray Irrigation Limited (MIL) is searching for a skilled and proactive Planner to join our Network Operations department and play a key role in managing complex schedules, resources and timelines.

MIL is the largest private irrigation water delivery company in Australia, formed as an unlisted public company in March **** when the NSW Government privatised its Murray Irrigation area and districts. The company's irrigators are also shareholders and include 2,100 landholdings across 724,000 hectares in the Southern Riverina.
MIL is located in southern NSW and uses approximately 2,755km of gravity-fed earthen channels to deliver a five-year average of 728GL to their landholders, through efficient management of their NSW Murray Regulated River Water Access Licences (WALs). Head office is in Deniliquin with branch offices in Finley and Wakool. Farm businesses in the area predominately include rice, cereals, wheat, canola, annual pasture, dairy, wool, beef and lamb, with an average gross value agriculture production of $500 million.

The Role
As the Planner (Network Operations), you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling all corrective, preventative, capital, and landholder-funded works. This includes aligning resources, stakeholders, and systems to meet safety standards, operational priorities, and budget constraints. The successful candidate will ideally reside or be willing to relocate and live in the local area/MIL footprint in a full-time capacity
In this role, you will support asset management strategies, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to building team capability across the network operations function.
The key responsibilities within this role include:
Plan and schedule work orders in line with operational priorities and budget constraints.
Collaborate with execution teams to adapt plans for reactive work.
Monitor budgets and ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Support audits and maintain accurate documentation.
Align planning with Asset Management Plans and lead improvement initiatives.
Mentor team members and coordinate training to build technical capability.
Liaise with system administrators to ensure planning tools meet business needs.
The perfect candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience and attributes:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Experience in coordinating resources and stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis and schedule optimisation.
Knowledge of WHS legislation and safety compliance.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within budget constraints.
Current Driver's Licence.
Experience or familiarity with survey levels, Pronto, GIS, and SCADA systems.
First Aid Certificate and WH&S General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (or be willing to obtain).
