We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team at Orpheus Island Lodge, part of Morris Escapes.
Accommodating just 28 guests, Orpheus is an all-inclusive, private island lodge located on the Great Barrier Reef. With only 14 rooms, suites and villas, it offers a highly personalised and immersive guest experience in a truly secluded setting.

As Restaurant Manager, you will lead the day-to-day dining operation, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for every guest. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail and the ability to engage confidently with guests.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Provide clear direction and leadership to the restaurant team. Build a strong service culture, set expectations and maintain high standards across all service periods.
Guest Experience
Deliver a consistently high-end dining experience aligned to the standards of Morris Escapes. Anticipate guest needs, respond proactively and resolve issues with discretion and professionalism.
Operations
Oversee all aspects of restaurant service including reservations, seating, service flow and guest engagement. Monitor inventory and liaise with suppliers as required.
Team Development
Train, coach and mentor team members to build capability, consistency and confidence on the floor. Support ongoing development and succession within the team.
Requirements
Proven experience in a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role within a premium hospitality environment
Strong understanding of fine dining service standards and food and beverage operations
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving ability with a calm and proactive approach
High attention to detail and commitment to guest experience
This is a live in role located on Orpheus Island.
