About the Role
FTI Consulting is looking for a talented professional at the Consultant, Senior Consultant or Manager level (internal title is Director) to join FTI Consulting's valuations and forensics teams (opportunities in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane). As a key member, you will be an integral part of this fast‐growing practice.
Our valuation specialists provide valuations of businesses, intangible assets and many other types of financial assets for taxation, strategy, regulatory, M&A, accounting and litigation purposes. You will work directly with senior team members who support and guide you throughout engagements. Your professional development will be enhanced through internal and external training, on‐the‐job coaching and mentoring.
What You'll Do
* Execute a wide range of valuation engagements for strategy, transactions, regulatory, tax compliance, financial reporting and litigation purposes
* Support day‐to‐day engagement execution, including interaction with clients, financiers, auditors, tax advisors and legal advisers
* Undertake company and industry analysis
* Participate in interviews with senior management of our clients to understand their businesses
* Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis
* Perform valuation analysis of any of the examples listed above
* Assist in drafting clear and concise written reports summarising our valuation analysis
* Assist with business development activities
* Assist with developing and enhancing financial models and reporting templates
* Contribute to FTI Consulting initiatives and team development activities

Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines. Other degrees in liberal arts or sciences are also considered if you demonstrate an aptitude for financial analysis.
* 1 to 4 years of professional experience, including experience in business and/or intangible asset valuations, credit analysis, tax advisory or other related experience
* Strong understanding of, or interest in, valuations and corporate finance
* Proficiency in written and spoken English
* Experience in writing documents and reports
* Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
* Knowledge or understanding of accounting principles
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Adaptability in a fast‐paced and dynamic working environment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information
* Ability to work on multiple client matters at one time
* Ability to work with senior team members and the client in deadline‐driven projects
* Strong work ethic and integrity, and high level of professionalism
* Willingness to travel for work

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $74,000
Maximum Pay: $99,000
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs and an individual's location, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
